8:53
This morning, I finished my work report at 8:53 a.m., which pretty much wrapped up my tasks for the day. To escape the air conditioner cleaning, I took a walk outside in the middle of the day. Compared to the scorching heat in August, September feels much better, with a nice breeze blowing.
Come to think of it, it's September 9th, Choyo no Sekku, also known as the "Chestnut Festival." So I made chestnut rice, which is a must-have for the day. Not that I had planned it—I just remembered I had bought chestnuts this weekend and figured they might go bad, so I put them in the freezer this morning as a prep hack. I guess I'm a classic example of someone who buys things but never eats them.
In other words, these weren't calculated moves but entirely unconscious, spontaneous self-decisions. Still, cooking them at this perfect timing feels like the right choice. Lately, I feel like unplanned, spontaneous actions are the best way to go.
The number nine is considered the most potent yang number, so September 9th is said to be the most auspicious day for positive energy to culminate. I'm so glad I could complete my report with good results today. It's also known as a day to talk about your dreams. I hope you all will share your dreams as well.
