No simple form conducts its lowing steer
Simple forms are sublime. I have an affinity for them. Like the Zen of Japan, they are a mystery beyond comprehension because those simple forms are constantly searching for their origins. A delicate form filled with the spirit of care—I find that very attractive. These simple forms are all around me. It seems important to me to take oneself to something more accessible, rather than being awakened by external forces.
The world is, in my opinion, a subjective entity that is constantly reshaping itself as a result of individual perceptions. It may be absolute, yet it is also subjective. One's own self is the source, but it manifests only when one connects with something larger than oneself. Furthermore, simplification can strongly connect things and help interpret perceptions; it’s much simpler than being provided with iffy, complicated matters. As a result, certain things can be abstracted well as "opaque" things that cannot be fully understood through empathy alone.
In linguistic relativity plus the possibility of a realm of implicit interpretation, there may be further insight into a new concept of civilization—if it is defined not only by objective elements like language, history, and institutions, but also by the subjective identity of the individual.
One of the greatest ways of understanding the world more comprehensively may be the peculiar pronunciation of Japanese, which allows everything to come together through the unique function of vowels. The power of voice. Or, it may be the ways in which so-called artists and scientists understand or convey things in their mental images. Or maybe it is the way children look at you with interest, and when you ask them if they are doing well, they simply say, "Yes."
Right now, it looks like a clash of civilizations, and I think these "simple" ways have many roles to play. On the way back to being simple, simple forms continue to explore "how to be simple" to reach the truth. It is a journey, like Zen, that seeks enlightenment on a higher plane. They cannot stop.
